NetworkSolutions?

Monday, June 12th, 2006

As of this writing, June 12, 08:32 AM CDT, NetworkSolutions is totally hosed.   Their main page won’t come up, their DNS servers are down, and their WHOIS servers are down now.   I’m shocked that a company this big, this old, and this necessary, can have a total collapse like this.  GoDaddy should capitalize on this today.

A Palm in need, a friend indeed?

Sunday, June 11th, 2006

My friend Brian, pretty much sums up everything I’ve been thinking about the Palm platform for the last six or more months.  I have an old Palm Tungsten T, which is very outdated of course, but nothing from the Palm line really excites me.  There is a definite lack of focus with the Palm platform, and I think a lot of the developers have now moved on to other platforms.  The Palm platform is very much adrift, and I honestly think it’s too late.

Party time

Thursday, June 8th, 2006

For the first time, I’ve officially joined a political party. It took a lot of goading from my fiance Kelly, and even the threat of her surreptiously registering me as a Democrat. However, now that it’s done, I have to admit I feel a little better about it. My disgust of the two major parties is now officially on the books. If any of my rants appear to be anti-Bush, rest assure, I’m just as much against the pathetic Democratic party.

I don’t agree with the entire platform of the Libertarian Party, specifically their foreign policy ideas. However, on the more important economic issues, I very much agree with the platform, and look forward to doing what I can to further promote the free market.
