Gwydion5,

How is pointing out a recent poll, one of many that shows Ron Paul with little or no national support, intellectually dishonest? The poll itself was only a small part of the entire post, in fact. So, whatever. Once again Ron Paul supporters have proven themselves to be rediculous.

Shane, my only point in making a comment on your little troll project was to point out your intellectual dishonesty. Then you say I'm the one with blinders on for criticizing your lead in about a recent poll, on this digital waste of an opinion that is stereo typical leftist ad hominem on the right.

I'm not even going to go in to the statistical insignificance of the polling system and the flaws of their process. Have a nice life Shane, and please don't breed.

Actually, he says people should be treated as individuals, not as gay or straight. It should not factor into the decision. That is why he says don't ask don't tell is ok - because it shouldn't be involved.

As for the polls, those media polls are all about name recognition.

#1 They only poll people who voted republican in the last election(most left republican party due to war and change in party).

#2 They do not list him in like 20 states in those polls, but the poll is a national average. They do not even list him in his home state. Meanwhile, people like fred thompson who haven't even declared has been listed since 2005.

#3 He has finished in 2nd or 1st in straw polls. In a recent republican straw poll in NH he pulled in over 60%, 2nd place was rudy with 8%.

Those polls are nothing but name recognition at this point. Bill Clinton was polling like this back when he won the presidency.

Gwydion5,

The polls don't contradict themselves. Ron Paul's support is always about the same as the margin of error. He's not going up. The poll with the highest support was back in March. Are you really excited about 1-2%? He's going nowhere. Get used to it.

How am I wearing blinders when you are using 1 recent poll, that contradicts its own past polls of Ron Paul.

USA Today/Gallup Poll 6/2/2007: Ron Paul 1%
USA Today/Gallup Poll 6/13/2007: Ron Paul 2%
USA Today/Gallup Poll 7/7/2007: Ron Paul 0%

Yet wait, let's look at some of the other polls which may not be as recent as 7/7 and compare.

ABC News/Washington Post Poll 4/14/2007: Ron Paul 1%
ABC News/Washington Post Poll 6/1/2007: Ron Paul 2%
CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll 3/10/2007: Ron Paul 2%
CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll 4/11/2007: Ron Paul 1%
CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll 5/5/2007: Ron Paul 1%
FOX News/Opinion Dynamics Poll w/o Fred Thompson 5/16/2007: Ron Paul 1%
FOX News/Opinion Dynamics Poll w/o Fred Thompson 6/6/2007: Ron Paul 2%
Zogby America Poll 3/24/2007: Ron Paul 3%
NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll 6/10/2007: Ron Paul 2%

Yeah, it sure looks like I'm looking at Ron Paul with blinders on.
