Home Projects
I am not handy at all when it comes to home projects. I think the only things I have managed to do at the house I currently rent, is replace a shower head. If course the first time I forgot the plumbing tape, and it was a big mess until I put that on. Oh, and one time, somehow, I built a planter. Actually, all I did was have Home Depot cut the boards the correct lengths, and then I just screwed it together. Big deal, eh?
Well, now that I am a homeowner, I have to actually learn how to do things around the house. I’m listing some home projects I hope to get done on here. We’ll see how successful I am.
Wireless Access
The house, while on the large side (4900 sq feet), seems to be covered quite well by just a single wireless unit. However for performance and reliability, and the ability to reach both patios, I will be installing a series of repeaters to extend the signal.
Home Audio System
In some of the room there are speakers from a 1970’s radio system. I would like to replicate the idea using modern technology to put speakers in almost every room, fed sound through a central audio system. This is a more ambitious project than I an accustomed to, but I think worth a try.
Dock Repair
The dock has 2 anchor cables normally, but one is broken right now. I need to repairt that, and also possibly fill the air tanks underneath the dock.
Kitchen and Bathroom Sinks
The sings leak right now, and it could be as simple as needing a new washer. I need to take the sinks apart, check the washers, and either replace the sinks or replace the washers.
